Batson-Cook Development Company and Georgia Development Partners were selected in June 2006 by Newnan City council to construct the First Avenue Park on behalf of the City. The park contains significant landscaping, multi-purpose fields, numerous hardscape elements, walking trails, a playground, benches, picnic pavilions and parking. BCD and GDP worked closely with City planners and officials throughout the development process to insure that upon completion, the park exceeded the vision set forth by the City. First Avenue Park is the first of several “park redevelopment” projects proposed by The City of Newnan.
